Spring Book Recommendations!!!
Spring is just around the corner (hopefully) so here are some books for the cold to warm transitional feeling of SPRING!
This poetry collection gives me a very happy feeling or spring feeling, all the poems are about nature or some other amazing topic. There is also very beautiful artwork. It is worth a couple of hours to read.
1. Talking to the Sun by multiple poets (selected and introduced by Kenneth Koch and Kate Farrell

2. The Secret Keepers by Trenton Lee Stewart
This book follows Duncan and his adventures after he finds an old watch with a secret ability. This is a nice middle-grade mystery, perfect for the type of weather we're getting now.
3. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Mass
This book follows Feyre who kills one of the high lords in a fae court (the spring court). This is essentially a Beauty and the Beast retelling. Since some of the main characters and most of the story takes place in a spring setting, this is a great spring story.
4. Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen
This book follows a character who falls in love with one character, but the other character literally hates the other one, but it is an amazing story, so if you want a review just comment. Wow, that was wordy, but this story is just wonderful and I highly recommend.
5. The Running Dream by Wendelin Van Draanen
This book follows Jessica who loses a leg in a car accident but is depressed for most of the thing since she can't run. Running is her passion. Wow, I've become really lazy... Anyhow, this story is heartwarming, and I again highly recommend!
6. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
This is a Cinderella retelling, but it is a Sci-Fi and Cinderella is a cyborg. I am one of the slowest readers out there, but I finished this book in three days while on vacation. My mother had to take me to the bookstore again because I didn't pack enough books. ;)
7. The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill
This book is about people who take babies from there parents and give them to a witch who is actually good, but one day one of the babies attains powers and there are plenty of adventures from there. This story is amazing! It made it to my favorites of the year.
8. The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell by Chris Colfer
I'm just going to type the actual synopsis. So here, "When the twins' grandmother gives them a treasured fairy-tale book, they have no idea they're about to enter a land beyond all imagining: the Land of Stories, where fairy tales are real." This is a great story and there are plenty of plot twists so be prepared.
Thanks for reading,
So Long,
~~D.

The Land of Stories is amazing, but I've still only read the first two books sadly
