My Favorite Historical Fictions!

If you know me, you know I LOVE HISTORY! I find it fascinating and it feels so cool to hear these stories and know they are real. So historical fictions put two of my favorite things together and make one of the best genres, in my opinion, historical fiction. So here are a few of my favorites!

  • The Book Thief by Markus Zusak - I enjoyed this so much! It allowed you to look into the life of a German girl who was hiding a Jew which was kind of scary because the Jew could be found at any moment.
  • The Girl in the Blue Coat by Monica Hesse - I loved this book so much and I really want to read her new book but in general, this book hit hard with its story and message. It brought light to this moment in history.
  • Anna and the Swallow Man by Gavriel Savit - Even though this book didn't have that much when it came to plot, this story's characters were greatly developed and showed what happened when different things happened to different characters during this time.
I have been meaning to read some more historical fiction so please comment some recommendations!

Do you like historical fiction? I would love to know! I hope you are having a great reading year! The year is literally flying by and I am already starting to prewrite some Bookmas posts! Happy reading!
So long,
~D.
